An academic journey
Prof. Dr. Gürcan Papatya serves as Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Süleyman Demirel University. He completed his PhD in 1997 at the Department of Business Administration with a thesis on "The Analysis of Productivity Strategies for Integrating Turkish Manufacturing Enterprises into Global Norms."
His research interests include strategic management, business competition, management technology, and interdisciplinary studies in management science. His work on the global competitive capacity of Turkish industry has been recognized three times by Milliyet Newspaper's national awards in economics.
A graduate of Anadolu University's Department of Business Administration, he holds a master's degree in management and organization from the same institution, and a second master's degree in Islamic History and Arts from SDU. His recent academic contributions emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to management literature.
